1. When I boot with just the power supply and HDMI I receive the same flashing signals
2. I did not try a new SD card, but I tried a new Raspberry Pi 5 and it worked right out of the box with the USB 3.0 drive I was using
3. I think there are only 3 potential variables at this point:
A. The SD card, which seems unlikely because I used it to flash the pi with the bootloader and obtained green screen without error
B. The firmware on the raspberry pi has been corrupted, which I think is most likely
C. The cooler and case I was using are causing some ill effects
What I am curious of now, is there a way to flash the firmware back to factory?
