so this is interesting. I'm using a Pi 4 and have do a fresh flash of my SD card with OS 64 bit version. I did the usual, sudo apt-get update & sudo apt-get upgrade and starting everything up and hit the issue that people here seem to be experiencing. I then flashed the SD card again and uninstalled realvnc-vnc-server, as is mentioned above. I did the update and upgrade, which seemed to work ok. I then tried to reinstall realvnc usingHowever, i got the same issue (hanging) and message as before i.e.Code:
sudo apt-get install realvnc-vnc-server
Now what do i do? It seems crazy that an update to the OS can cause so many issues.Code:
Looking for font path..
Oh, one other thing if i try and shutdown the Pi by going to the menu, the options for shutdown, reboot, etc, don't appear. I have to shutdown by opening up a new terminal any typing sudo shutdown now. I assume this is connected in some way, but i'm not sure
Use full-upgrade
Code:
sudo apt updatesudo apt full-upgrade
