I recently acquired a Rasp Pi5 & conncted it up & inserted a 1TB pen drive. I was able to search through the pen drive contents & see all my files, including some video files I'd forgotten about, but I was using a TV & wanted to use my monitor which doesn't have speakers.
So I bought a Raspberry Pi DigiAMP+ which uses its own power supply and the Pi5 power supply isn't used (on instruction from the user manual) but when I plugged in the pen drive it isn't being found.
Is there any way round this? I (obviously) don't want to plug in the power supply directly to the board as this is not advisable so looking for a way to see my USB pen drive.

Some more information might help
Which OS are you running on the rpi5 (and is it Desktop or Lite) ?
Which software are you using for playback ?
Have you tried a reboot with the pen drive attached ?
