I am powering it with a dedicated 5 V/2.5 A power adapter, and I'm directly connected with monitor and keyboard, so the wireless connection is not the issue. It just won't even boot - no light comes on.My Zero 2 W (purchased about a year ago) has been working with RPi OS Lite 32-bit Bullseye (now labeled "legacy" in RPi Imager). However it doesn't have a package I need (imx500) so I'm trying to upgrade to Bookworm. I am running the latest Imager, v1.8.5. Every version of Bookworm that I've tried, both 32- and 64-bit has resulted in the RPi completely refusing to boot (no green light). But when I reimage again with Bullseye on the same SD card it boots successfully, so it's not the SD card.
It isn't inherently the RPi Zero 2 W hardware, or the 19th November release of RasPiOS Bookworm, that are at fault, for me at least.

How are you powering your RPi Zero 2 W board?
It does take some noticeable time - perhaps 10 minutes or so - for my board to join the wireless network when it is first booted after a fresh OS installation.
