I haven't heard of any widespread hardware issues with the 4 Wifi Chip. Indeed, in my experience; the hardware is generally very reliable. How have you come to the conclusion that it's a hardware fault with the chip? I think that's probably the least likely cause! It's FAR more likely to be a configuration error or something to do with your local network setup.
What OS are you using? If it's Raspberry Pi OS; Are you using Network manager or dhcpcd to manage the network?
Before you go to the drastic effort of replacing a part on the board, have a look here.
