I'm using a Pi 5 with PiVariety IMX462.
My problem is that video doesn't work correctly. It acts as though everything went fine, but then the video is 1 second and closes.
I'm using the Raspberry documentation example, but for Pivariety:
libcamera-vid -t 10s -o test.h264
How do you get proper video function? Forums and documentation give the impression that the issue is old, but I haven't seen a solution.
Edit: SOLVED, I found the issue.
I was following an Arducam guide which mentioned using prefix 'libcamera' because they had modified the code.
All problems went away after I switched to using prefix 'rpicam'.
The video length was solved by using rpicam --codec options for libav.
