I had been using a SSH from my Windows 11 box to my three Pi Zero 2 W's for several weeks, but it has stopped working. I can no longer effectively communicate with them over SSH, though it looks like the connection may actually have been made.
Now, when I try to connect, the CMD window on the Windows box either seems to hang and never connect, or I get to the prompt on the Pi, but it either does not respond, or echoes a single keypress and hangs. After some time it drops the connection altogether. I can see by running top on the Pi that there is one user, then try to SSH into it the user count goes up to 2, so apparently the user from the Windows SSH is actually connecting. Once the SSH connection is closed the user count goes back to 1. I am using the same user to log into the Pi locally and over SSH.
I have 2 other Pi's (PI3B+, and Pi4) that I can still SSH into with no issues, and I've made no changes to Windows box, so I have no reason to believe there's an issue with it. I have tried to reinstall the Raspberry Pi Lite OS using both the current image and the previous image (bookworm and bullseye) in both 32 and 64 bit images to no avail. I can Ping between all the systems, so I don't see that there's an issue with the network.
They magically started working once for a few hours and then stopped again. All three seemed to go up and down in unison, so that is very strange. When I first noticed it, two of the PI's were powered up and the other was was not. When I noticed it on the two running Pi's, I powered the third, and SSH failed. I had the previous version of the of the Pi Zero and had no issues, but I no longer have them.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated since they all need to run headless in the end.
