Hi all and thanks for your help in advance.
I’ve been trying to set up my raspberry pi with an Enviro + to start monitoring air quality at home. However, after a couple full days of troubleshooting, I can’t seem to figure out how to connect to Wi-Fi in a headless setup. I am on a 2.4 GHZ wireless network, Raspberry pi zero WH, A preloaded SD card from pi hut (purchased last week and has latest Software) and a macbook pro intel.
Every time I create the SSH file and the Wi-Fi and go to plug it in to try and connect I can’t seem to find it on my network. Then, when I put the SD card back into my computer, the SSH file has disappeared – I’ve seen posts that say this is a good and a bad thing. I’m wondering if you would have any advice on that.
I have also tried a different Wi-Fi network and a mobile hotspot to avail.
He was an example of my Wi-Fi settings
file name: wpa_supplicant.conf
country=GB
ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev
update_config=1
network={
ssid="D267 Hyperoptic 1Gb Fibre 2.4Ghz"
psk="3aJKXXXXX"
key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
}
I then use touch ssh to create the ssh and I use proper eject.
ls -l /Volumes/bootfs
when I inspect the Files within the boot, both the SSH and The WPA supplicant are present. When I try and plug this into the raspberry pie and then back into my computer, the SSH file disappears, and I cannot find the device on my network Using Fing. I have reinstalled On the SD card using the raspberry pi Imager For Mac OS.
Any further suggestions here? Or am I doomed to never monitor the sweet sweet air outside my flat?
Thanks for your time and patience!
