I have two Pies connected to the network.
One of them runs the 3d Printer using OctoPi and the other is around for whatever purpose.
I have, in the past, been able to connect to them both reasonably reliably, but recently I have been having a lot of trouble connecting to the Octopi.
The most obvious answer is that maybe I have moved it, or the router and it's a signal problem, but I have recently discovered that if I go via the other Pi, then I can reliably connect to the Octopi... at least most of the time.
I am connecting from a windows machine. Earlier today, and the same yesterday, I was not able to connect to the Octopi either through the web interface or through SSH. It would not even answer to a ping.
However, I could SSH to the other Pi, and from there I could ping the Octopi and connect to it through SSH.
FWIW, I am using GitBash as a terminal. What difference that makes, I do not know, but this is also a kind of note to self to try another way next time...
If it was a problem with the network, or firewalls, or any such thing, then I would expect to have the same problem connecting to the other Pi, or a problem connecting from that to the Octopi, so it has me baffled.
Of course the problem is intermittent: usually it goes away sooner or later. It seems to help if I ping it from the other pi, but that might be coincidence. Sometimes it helps to reboot the windows machine, but again, that might be coincidence...
Any ideas?
