Dear Forum,
something changend (maybe in hardware?) and behaves wrong now.
We have for example
* two Raspberry Pi Zero W v1.1 2017 (FCC-ID: 2ABCB-RPI0W)
* (1) `00000000df138e9c` ANATEL, 2UA47 D9XCF
* (2) `00000000198113d1` ELPIDA
* one SD-Card with `Raspbian Pi OS – Raspbian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye)` everything up-2-date (also tested without updating)
* same power supply, same cables, everything just the same
We run (1) no RNDIS Device available. We run (2) RNDIS Device available.
We've tested a lot, but (1) is not able to deliver RNDIS. Allthough (2) is able to behave as RNDIS. Software could not be the problem, as they were booted with same sd-card.
Is there any kind of change between these boards that can affect RNDIS behaviour?
We want to use them as an USB-Gadget (ssh over usb) in a classroom with more than 20 students. WLAN is not a real option. We use Windows 10/11 workstations.
We configured `dtoverlay=dwc2` in `cmdline.txt` and also `modules-load=dwc2,g_ether` after rootwait in `cmdline.txt`.
With warm regards
ahoeh
