Hey! I'm a beginner to Raspberry Pi. I got the Pi 5 last week and have been working on setting it up the past couple of days. Initially, I had some issues with getting HDMI output from the Pi to my TV. When there was no SD card inserted, the diagnostics screen appeared. I made sure that DISPO: HDMI HPD=1 EDID=ok. I did a lot of searching through these forums and ended up adding a line to the cmdline.txt to say video=HDMI-A-1:1024x768@60D. After doing that, I was finally able to see the boot screen with the SD card inserted. However, while it's still booting, the problem that I've encountered now is that the Pi will shut down predictably after about 5-10 seconds. I've yet to get it to stay on long enough to see the log-in screen. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Of note, I'm not using the official Pi5 power cable. The one I'm using came in one of the authorized kits. I've also tried another one which I use with my google chromebook and haven't noticed a difference with either of them.
