Almost certainly, yes:
- Find out what error(s) if any your script is throwing. See section 6.1 of my cron guide (linked to above).
- Redesign your script. You want to either use an infinite loop or call it regularly from cron but not both.
Or, better still, keep the infinite loop and use a systemd service instead of cron. See sections 5 and 6 of Running A Program At Start Up A Beginner's Guide also by me.
