Tried with same 2023-12-11-raspios-bookworm-armhf-lite.img on a 16 GB SDcard... No change - same kernel panic.
Tried with the Imager's suggested "Raspberry Pi OS (legacy 32 bit" (Bullseye) on same 16 GB SDcard... Boots successfully (sort of: I can ssh to it, but the desktop didn't come up - which doesn't matter to me because I'll use a desktop-less image for production)
So we conclude that 2023-12-11-raspios-bookworm-armhf-lite.img is incompatible with my "Raspberry Pi Model B Rev 2"
I haven't found any other report that Bookworm may be incompatible with 1B Rev 2.
I'm annoyed because I'll have to setup Pipewire on Bullseye and doubly so because I'm only now learning, too late, that I could have done it on the perfectly good Bullseye that used to run on that 4 GB SDcard.
Edit: Aaaand no - I won't have to manually setup Pipewire:This late versions of Bullseye has Pipewire by default !
Now, I'm off to configure that Pi as a ROC sink !
Edit: no I'm not - libpipewire-module-roc-source.so and libpipewire-module-roc-sink.so are currently only available in Sid so I'm stuck and thinking of shamefully stringing an audio cable from my office to the living room...
