Running latest is on raspberry pi 5 with 4tb Seagate portable drive formatted as ntfs.
I turned on my pi as usual, but I noticed the drive icon was not on my desktop as usual, so I opened the file explorer, saw the drive was there, tried to open it and got message "Error: An operation is already running"
The drive is read just fine on my windows laptop, this happened after I updated my pi, so I reinstalled the OS on my micro SD card for booting, the first thing I did on my new install was plug in the drive and try and read it, same message, even on a different drive. If I turn on my pi with the drive plugged in, I cannot turn it off and have to pull the power plug if I want to turn it off. U also checked the drive for errors using a Windows scan.
