I've got the same problem. The monitor won't turn back on until I push the button, then I can't get the desktop back no matter what I do. The only solution is to reboot the computer.I tried:
WAYLAND_DISPLAY="wayland-0" wlr-randr --output HDMI-A-1 --on
and got:
failed to apply configuration
Then I tried:
wlr-randr
and got:
HDMI-A-1 "VIZIO, Inc D24h-J09 (HDMI-A-1)"
So I tried:
WAYLAND_DISPLAY="VIZIO, Inc D24h-J09 (HDMI-A-1)" wlr-randr --output HDMI-A-1 --on
and got:
failed to connect to display
When I turn off the TV monitor connected via HDMI to my RPi5 (bookworm) the Pi loses the video signal. So when I turn the TV monitor back on the monitor says "No signal" - so my only
options is to reboot which is bad. How do I get the video signal back without rebooting?
