My Raspberry Pi 4 is having trouble connect to Viewsonic monitor. I got two different model of displays from Viewsonic (VH2409-MHU and VH2432-H), both of them are set to 1024x768 resolution when Pi boot to the desktop environment. I've done some troubleshooting below:
Does this mean Viewsonic monitors currently are not compatible with Raspberry Pi? I also found a few posts talking about similar issue on Viewsonic monitor and no resolution provided so far. Anyone that managed to make their Viewsonic monitor work please help to provide me some pointers. Thank you.
- Both displays are working properly when connected to a Windows laptop. It can utilize 1080p without issue.
- The HDMI cable are working properly as well, connected to Windows laptop and confirm it is working.
- The same Pi 4 are connected to Dell, HP display, with the same HDMI cable and it is working properly, resolution auto set to 1080p without issue.
- The Pi 4 are flashed with the latest bookworm OS (2024-11-19), using legacy setting hdmi_group and hdmi_mode on config.txt to set to 1080p, Pi still boot into 1024x768.
- Changed vc4 driver to fkms, issue still persists.
- wlr-randr reported only a few resolution available, the maximum is 1024x768.
