Use a Compute Module with either a custom or an off-the-shelf baseboard.Sorry for my late reply and thanks a lot for your answer. I wanted to reply with the results of my attempt, but this will take some time. It has been a while since I last compiled a kernel so I'll need to find some time to sit down with this.
If I understand correctly, after making the suggested changes and recompiling the kernel, I'll have to reenable the DRM drivers (so basically use the default config.txt)?
It's a bit too bad the Raspberry Pi 5 is too high to fit in my project. A Raspberry Pi 5 with the 3A form factor would be nice.
Have a look at i.e. https://www.waveshare.com/cm4-nano-b.htm
