That'll be the problem right there.
A lot of those instructions are severely out of date.
iptables was replaced with nftables in Bullseye
Networking configuration since Bookworm is handled by Network Manager which means dhcpcd is not installed.
But you didn't tell us which OS and which named release of that OS you're running. Nor any other potentially useful information about your system.
Maybe if you do someone else might be able to help.
Or you could just ask chatgpt.
