Troubleshooting • Unidentified Component Broke off Pi-5 8GB Circuit Board

I got my first Raspberry Pi 5 with 8GB last week and immediately started setting it up - as a NAS with a case, hat, NVMe drive, cooling fan, the works.

I ended up breaking a part off the bottom of the PCB, just on the underside of the board kind of under where the cooling fan plugs in. I knocked it off trying to get a stand-off attached to mount in the box and support the NVMe hat. Ugh!

It's mounted on a pad, and finally just fell off. Happily, it does not seem to impact the Pi-5's operation and amazingly, the fan still works. But guessing it's something important. Any guesses from the forum? It is small rectangular-shaped component that is open in the middle, size is 3mm x 1mm x 1mm. I first thought antenna but it could have something to do with the board temperature sensing. See picture linked below.

I am not planning on trying to re-flow the board but might try some conductive epoxy, but it's seriously small and to be honest I can't even really see any place that something connected to it.

I'm a total newbie but love this little gizmo and am planning on a ton of other projects.
Thanks for any help!
