Troubleshooting • Re: Weather station catastrophe (Pi Zero 2W, MH-Z19B, BME280, 3.5'' LCD)

lol thank you for the suggestion with the HAT, I know it looks very questionable, but I wanted to put it together with the CO2-sensor in a pretty small case (the one that comes with the display, if you looked at the link).

Basically, all that's available is the volume of a regular Pi, minus the Zero.

Anyway, I also strongly suspect the display may be somehow responsible... but not in an obvious way (as I wrote above, no shorts, separate voltage regulator, no feedback etc.)

After thinking about it a bit more, the safest way of proceeding would be to get a new display, since I really don't want to waste another Pi. And also, to isolate the sensors from the Pi by connecting them to an Arduino Nano, which then transmits the data via serial to the Pi. The regulator on the Nano also seems a lot beefier.
