I am not sure how sleep was initiated previously on my Pi, but a couple of weeks ago I had some updates for my Raspberry Pi with HyperPixel 4 (rectangular) and after they were installed there was some message saying something about 'GdkWaylandDisplay'. I was not sure what it was, it was late already and thought "if it is new, it probably is better" and had it installed.
My screen is not going black (to sleep) anymore. I searched for solutions but haven't found anything to work so far. On thing I tried is xscreensaver, but that shows an error when configuring it: invalid cast from 'GdkWaylandDisplay' to 'GdkX11Display'.
I asked the same on Github and today someone suggested that this needs to be with the RPi folks since the drivers for my screen are now mainline. Not sure if that is a valid comment, but I thought it was good to add.
Any ideas what I can do to get this screen to sleep again?
