I think my issue may be related in the same way, I see that the driver used is macb, and I am wondering why it is not bcmgenet. REF: viewtopic.php?t=381652 I think there is an issue, because I can clearly see that this is a Broadcom ethernet adapter, and yet the raspberry pi 5 is showing that it is using macb driver which according to the raspberry linux drivers, is this one. https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/tr ... et/cadence. I am not sure where to set the drivers, and which drivers to load for the ethernet controller, but I am not able to find documentation on how to do this, I think with your issue, if you had the proper driver, ethtool might work better, but I am not totally sure, and I am guessing there is some kind of bug.
@6by9 I see that he has some kernel skills, and has helped people out with ethernet before, hopefully he can shed some insight.
