I don't like the look of all those I/O errors at the top of the first picture. Could be a bad SD card.

That'd be my guess too. It's either gone read only or something is very wrong in the mapping between blocks (what the OS asks for) and rows/cells (what the SD card uses internally). The former being the more likely.

Easiest way tot test is use a different computer and a card reader to write a file to the boot partition. Eject and reconnect the SD card and see if the file is still present.
