Hi,
today, I tried running apt update && apt upgrade (as root) on my RP5 for the first time. I got several error messages like this:
Error please report bug on initramfs-tools
Include the output of 'mount' and 'cat /proc/mounts'
update-initramfs: failed for /boot/initrd.img-6.6.51+rpt-rpi-v8 with 1.
dpkg: error processing package initramfs-tools (--configure):
installed initramfs-tools package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
linux-image-6.6.62+rpt-rpi-2712
linux-image-rpi-2712
linux-image-6.6.62+rpt-rpi-v8
linux-headers-6.6.62+rpt-rpi-v8
linux-headers-6.6.62+rpt-rpi-2712
linux-headers-rpi-2712
linux-image-rpi-v8
linux-headers-rpi-v8
initramfs-tools
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
So i installed a new image from scratch ( 2024-11-19-raspios-bookworm-arm64-lite.img.xz), booted this image and tried again. Mailutils, this time. I got similar error messages and was asked to run "apt -fix-broken install".
What is going wrong? Yes, I did run apt update && apt upgrade (as root) before.
Kind regards
Michael
