@rpdom give it a go in gadget mode without the adapter and let me know how it goesI just tested this. Android 14 on my Samsung A03 phone appears to support my A-Link SMSC LAN7500 based 1Gbit adaptor.Last time I tried using g_ether with an Android device it wasn't recognised. Neither were either of the "real" USB ethernet adaptors I have here.
This suggests to me that Android has no support for USB ethernet adapters.
That was with Android 13 though. 14 may be different.
