Troubleshooting • Raspberry PI 3 can't rotate the screen

Hi, I recently installed the latest os (raspbian 12, armv7l) on my rpi 3. I also have one of the old 7 inches touchscreens.

Out of the box everything is upside down, I changed the screen orientation inside the desktop and it looked like it crashed, ended up in the login screen (lightdm right?) if I try to log in again, i see the cursor getting in the right orientation for a moment and then back to the login screen.

I ended up finding out the configuration in ~/.config/kanshi/config:

Code:

profile {output DSI-1 enable mode 800x480@60.029 position 0,0 transform 180}
The problem is that it works with 0, 90 and 270, but not the 180 that I need. I'm not very experienced with wayland so I'm not sure where to look for logs to debug this. Ligthdm logs only says the session was opened for my user (once for lightdm:session and once for ligthdm-greeter:session).

How can I debug this issue? which log should I look? should I update the firmware?
