Hi.
I’m having trouble connecting my Raspberry Pi 4 to a Waveshare 7HP-CAPQLED display (1024x600 resolution) using a flat HDMI cable. The screen works fine with a regular HDMI cable, but with the flat cable, the Raspberry Pi fails to display anything. I suspect the flat cable isn’t transmitting the EDID correctly, as I get an "EDID block is 0" error.
The display is detected as "connected," but dmesg shows no EDID.
Unfortunately, tvservice isn’t available on my OS.
Can I bypass the need for EDID and manually set resolution parameters?
Is the flat HDMI cable likely the issue?
Thanks for any help!
