Hello!
Beginner here, trying to learn. I think I'm doing the IP network setup incorrectly.
I've read the sticky concerning point-to-point ethernet, but I think this setup is a bit different. I apologize if the solution in the sticky post is also the solution to my situation. Please let me know.
The setup is a raspberry pi 5, running OS Lite, debian bookworm.
Installed on SD card with raspberry imager. SSH enabled, and wifi configured.
Running headless setup.
I'm attempting to establish an ethernet connection between my PI and my laptop (Windows).
Using my laptop, I used VScode to connect over SSH to the PI. I configured the ethernet network using "sudo nmtui". Please see attached pictures for IP address setup on PI and laptop (likely source of problem).
The ethernet connection still shows up as an unidentified network on the laptop. I have tried setting unidentified networks as private, and disabled the laptop firewall for private networks. No luck.
What do you think, where might the problem lay?
This is a learning project, so what the problem is, is for me, just as interesting as the solution! Thank you, cheers!
