I am experiencing the same issue of the monitors display sleep and then immediately wake up loops. The sleep and wake up cycle takes about 4 seconds.
At the beginning of March 2024 the sleep of the two monitors was working as expect with the screen blanking taking place. Since that March 2024 to the end of July the Pi 5 ran continuously with no reboot and no issues. Updates to the OS had been applied as they were available. At the end of July 2024 the Pi was rebooted and the looping issue started.
Additional information
- Pi 5 with 8 gb
- added "vc4.force_hotplug=3" to cmdline.txt (on the existing line)
- using Wayfire interface
- screen blanking is enabled in rasp-config
I wonder if the updates since the beginning of March 2024 could be the source of the issue?
Thanks for any assistance
