Hello,
i wanted to install an external Powerbutton at my Raspberry PI 5, but it is not working properly.
What i did:
I connected a button between pin 5 and pin 6.
Added following command to the config.txt:
dtoverlay=gpio-shutdown
Result:
By pressing the button the shutdown window is opening and when i press it again, the pi is shutting down. So far so good.
But when the Pi is off, i cannot turn it on with this button.
Further informations:
The preinstalled powerbutton of the Pi5 is working as intended(power on and off is working). Even without the adjustment of the config.txt.
In the logind.conf the option HandlePowerKey is set to poweroff.
Question
Does anyone know a solution for it?
Or maybe is there a schematic to check the wiring of the preinstalled powerbutton to parallel connect my external button?
