I'm having issues as well getting my external SSD enclosure to work. More specifically I am using a Yottamaster YMPW25 with a Realtek RTL9201 chipset and an old Crucial M4 64gb SSD. My Raspberry Pi 5 sits in my 3d printer and is powered by a 25w 5v Meanwell psu. When I turn on the power, the rpi fan constantly spins and does not boot. If I press the power button once or twice it boots successfully and turns off the fan. I've SSH'ed into it and done many of the common changes like quirks, delays etc. and nothing helps. Does anyone have a clue why it only works when I press the power button on the rpi?
