You haven't said what OS you are trying to boot.

Is it Raspberry Pi OS; Bookworm.....or something else?

Raspberry Pi OS 64 bit.

Is it bookworm?

That's the only one that works on the Pi5

There is a Raspberry Pi OS 64bit available that ISN'T based on bookworm.

That won't work on the 5.
