What I can't do is change the tty session. CTL+ALT+F(n) doesn't work and neither does chvt(n). I was hoping that chvt Change Virtual Terminal would work. Maybe it's a process thing?

Anyone able to change the tty while using TigerVNC?
I don't think that's possible at all. I've logged into a separate session once with TigerVNC by using a different port.
(Multiple server instances were running, and i have increased the port to 5901 at the server settings, if I remember well.)

That secondary session had no "start menu + task bar" present, only the empty background, so I could not start anything.
